I discovered wonderful Mashka Jewelers, truly a new favorite treasure by the historic area of Fisherman’s Wharf, where seagulls fly high, swimmers brave the brisk waves with Alcatraz in the distance, and fog burns away to reveal historic vessels and blue waters. I was with friends visiting San Francisco at the iconic Ghirardelli Square, the smell of chocolate in the air, when I spotted two of my favorite things— jewelry and books! I was fascinated by the designer’s whimsy and style. I thought I’d take you on a little tour of their showroom.
It made me think some of the jewelry would magically transform into an amazing book, but it doesn’t. I may have to use that in one of my novels!
Their Lilly Pad and floral collection is light and airy, very distinctive.
The Pod Collection is their signature work and has small masterpieces you can stack on your arms or with necklaces. So darling! I also loved how they used art to display the jewelry.
The stunning views across the street, Alcatraz, the Golden Gate Bridge and the bay. Beautiful displays in every corner cleverly using books and novels to showcase the gorgeous gems. A lot of tumbled gems in soft pastel colors are attractive as well.
If you find yourself in San Francisco, as well as Monterey, be sure to stop by! For more information check out their website here: https://mashka.com/.
